A Science Mela was held at Biligerehundi
Igniting Young Minds
The Mela featured interactive exhibits, live experiments, and hands-on activities, covering topics such as light, heat transfer, magnetism, water filtration, and electric circuits. Students from Classes 6 and 7 showcased innovative science projects, while engaging quizzes, model-making competitions, and group discussions encouraged collaborative learning.
The event was inaugurated by SDMC President Mr. Nagaraju, former Gram Panchayat President Mrs. Chandramma, and current President Mrs. Chinathayamma, emphasizing the significance of science in shaping young futures. The Mela bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, inspiring students to explore science and technology-driven careers.
Additionally, a Sharadha Pooja was conducted to bless students appearing for upcoming exams. Motivational speeches by department officials, Pratham representatives, and head teachers encouraged students, while prizes and certificates were awarded to winners of quizzes, model-making, and presentations.
The Science Mela was a resounding success, showcasing the power of experiential learning and the importance of scientific awareness in rural education. Such initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of innovators, scientists, and problem-solvers in India.
